version three point zero

As many a mp3blogger has had to do of late, Apple's recent "enforcement" of their .Mac bandwidth caps has forced me to pull the music files for the time being. Future editions of BigTix mixes may have to be time-limited, or perhaps I'll have to find a different hosting option eventually. Anyway, despite the lack of activity 'round these parts in recent weeks, I really am still around & kicking myself (as per usual) for not posting enough. I'm seriously thinking about working on some sort of redesign over the next few days (or weeks), so keep your eye on the horizon for The Big Ticket 3.0...

ETA: Yes, I know the site looks very f**ked up. Apple shut me down, but things should be back to normal by Monday (5/1).

I'll update this further with links etc, but right now I have to go mentally & physically prepare myself for the insanity that awaits me later tonite.

BTW: It's an AAC file this time around, as I was futzing around with some basic podcasting stuff in Garageband. If anyone has trouble getting it to work, let me know in the comments & I'll try to upload a mp3 version.

I have mixed feelings about this 2nd edition on BigTix, but I decided to post my attempt at it anyway. Feedback is appreciated, as-per-usual.

ETA: In case you didn't notice, I updated BigTix01 podcast-style. Enjoy.

The latest issue of EW breaks the bad news, as the-best-sitcom-ever (IMO) Arrested Development has had its feeding tube removed. Creator / executive producer / imagineer extraordinaire Mitch Hurwitz has decided to stop fighting the good fight (at this point, who can blame him?) & is calling it quits. The loyal folks over at The O.P. are comiserating over this final final nail in the coffin, dropping their robot facade & tasting the sad at last. Expect the third season dvd to hit stores sometime in June, at which point we will again have cause to taste the happy & revel in all things Bluthiness.

Here's a couple melancholy-yet-upbeat tracks to start off your Monday:

MP3 The Breeders - "So Sad About Us"
From the Kim Deal & company's pre-Last Splash EP, 1992's Safari.

MP3 Pizzicato Five - "Happy Sad"
From the 1995 full-length album The Sound of Music by Pizzicato Five.

We can't wait to see what else you've got for us next, Mitch.

BTW: Belated b-day wishes to Air America, which turned 2 last Friday.

ETA: Holy f**king sh**. Lonely Island movie (via). Hoobastank.
